A Message for Families of Imprisoned People with Mental Health Problems

We know you have a list of special issues. Your loved one might have all along needed specific mental health care. You may be working with lack of an official diagnosis, medication issues, Special Housing Unit (SHU--"the box") segregation instead of more appropriate in-prison care. You and/or other family members in the community may have similar mental health needs.
